O'Malley Pitches for DNC But Flubs Public Option Question 10/09
Doing his part for President Obama's media surge on health care, Governor Martin O'Malley was host of a telephone conference call on health care for national reporters arranged by the Democratic National Committee.
Referencing a New York Times article (click here) on the Swiss model of a fully-private system of health insurers for national coverage, Clarence Mitchell IV ("C4") of WBAL Radio asked a question during the conference call about whether O'Malley would support a compromise that excludes the public option?
Starting with the word, "Sure," O'Malley's answer is a classic in nonresponsiveness and fails to state a position on the public option.
Check the C4 page at WBAL Radio later today for the audio clip.
