Baltimore Sun columnist and University of Maryland Baltimore County political science professor, Thomas Schaller, offered his opinion on the Maryland political scene including his belief that Republicans will probably pick up a few seats in the state Senate:

"As for legislators, Republicans will probably net a few seats in the state Senate and perhaps a few more in the House of Delegates."

We are actively working to pick up at least five seats because five seats means we can filibuster controversial policies such as Governor O'Malley's 2007 tax hikes.  But we need your help.  Please click donate in the upper left corner of the screen today to help us pick up five seats.
